| English Teacher (Grades 7-12) | | Taconic Hills Central School District is anticipating to hire a passionate and dedicated 7–12 English Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong expertise in English instruction and a proven ability to engage students in meaningful learning that builds critical thinking, communication, and curiosity. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in English Education, or related field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Valid New York State teaching license or certification in English
- Experience teaching high school-level English courses.
- Strong knowledge of inquiry-based learning strategies and instructional technologies.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities: - Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned English Language Arts instruction.
- Foster a classroom environment that promotes inquiry, discussion, and inclusive participation.
- Assess student learning through a range of formative and summative measures and provide timely, actionable feedback.
- Support student growth in reading, writing, speaking, and critical analysis.
- Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen curriculum coherence and interdisciplinary connections.
- Participate in ongoing professional learning and contribute to district and school improvement efforts.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and communication.
- Communicate regularly with families to support student success.
