Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team and work alongside other educators to increase learning opportunities for our students in academic, behavioral and social areas.

The ideal candidate will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, have a strong background in experience working with diverse student populations, and a commitment to helping students succeed.

Hours / Workdays:

• Monday - Friday, 7:35AM - 2:50PM
• Federal Holidays & School Breaks off

Qualifications:

• Valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification or Classroom Teacher Certification is required
• Valid NYSED Fingerprint clearance

Responsibilities:

• Experience working with school aged children.
• Experience working with students with special needs, preferable.
• Ability to apply developmentally appropriate instructional practices under the supervision of a classroom teacher.
• Have interpersonal skills and tools for collaboration with all school faculty, staff, administrators and families.
• Desire to grow as a part of a professional community to support student learning and growth as well as academic, social and behavioral achievement.
